VAB/CCB Services

With the introduction of the Railway and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006 (ROGS) the previous Engineering Acceptance process that employed Conformance Certification Bodies (CCB) and Vehicle Acceptance Bodies (VAB) was de-mandated.

However compliance to the Railway Group Standards is often still a requirement while the Technical Specifications for Interoperability are incomplete, or missing entirely. Whilst the requirement for Safety Verification is now the decision of the Railway Undertaking, many RUs have chosen the voluntary application of this process.

This continues to be a valid option for as long as the process is supported by RSSB. CORREL Rail is committed to remaining a VAB for as long as it's customers feel this is a valid methodology for them.

Please contact us for an update of the current status of the Engineering Process and for a discussion on how we can provide support services of this nature.
